About me
Miriam Bird is a Bachelor of Arts student in Psychology at the University of Cincinnati. She is originally from Louisville, KY, and brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her roles within the Jewish community. Miriam took a meaningful gap year in Israel, where she served as an emergency medical responder with Magen David Adom in Holon. She has been a devoted member of Camp Livingston for the past 13 years, with the past four summers spent on staff as music director, a lifeguard, and also assisted with programming and specialist supervision. Miriam also serves as a student intern at Cincinnati Hillel, supporting campus life and engagement. Her passion for Jewish music led her to be selected as a Jewish Star in Season 4, an initiative by Rick Recht, where she honed her musical and leadership skills. Miriam also participated as a Camp Management Fellow with Foundation for Jewish Camp, where she gained valuable experience in leadership and operations within the camp setting. In addition, Miriam is active within the Greater Cincinnati Jewish community, contributing to institutions by songleading and service leading at Rockdale Temple, Rockwern Academy, BBYO, and more. She looks forward to returning to Camp Livingston next summer, where she will continue to make a meaningful impact.
