About me
Jill Stepak is an educator, instructional designer, musician, artist, and a proud Camp Interlaken JCC alum. For the past twenty years, Jill has worked to integrate arts, Jewish learning, and educational theories in a variety of settings, from synagogues to camps, schools, and for-profits. She specializes in using technology and design thinking to turn complex concepts into accessible, engaging, and memorable learning experiences.
Jill is a lifelong camp enthusiast and has served as a staff member, unit educator, songleader, and Jewish life faculty at several Jewish camps. She believes that Jewish camps provide a unique space for campers and counselors to experiment and cultivate skills and talents, to grow into their most authentic selves, and become engaged members and leaders in their communities.
Jill has an M.A. in Jewish Educational Leadership from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, and a B.A. in Jewish Education and Modern Hebrew from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She currently lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband, two daughters and two dogs.
