About me
Ariella is an educator and rabbi who has dedicated her career to supporting people of all ages (but especially young people) in building personally meaningful Jewish communities and identities. She lives in Northampton, MA, where she serves as rabbi and oversees youth and family experiences at Congregation B'nai Israel (CBI), a Jewish community campus with a farm, schools, and a synagogue. She previously lived in Toronto, where she was the senior director and senior Jewish educator at Hillel at the University of Toronto.
Ariella grew up in West Hartford, CT and at Camp Ramah in New England (CRNE), and earned degrees in psychology and midrash from List College (Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary, JTS). She was ordained as a rabbi by JTS in 2015, and has spent time both as a congregational rabbi in the Philadelphia area and as an admissions director back at JTS, guiding emerging Jewish leaders along their path.
Part of the Cornerstone family for over a decade, Ariella always finds ways to get back to camp, including getting married at CRNE! She loves finding ways to infuse special moments with beauty and meaning, cares deeply about building inclusive spaces, and is always here for a good question. Ariella spends her free time walking in the woods with her wife Becca and their dog Neffy.
