Cornerstone 2025
Tuesday May 20, 2025 3:00pm - 3:00pm EDT
TBA
In this session we will break down the component parts of a Dvar Torah and practice writing a tight 3-5 minute teaching. Dvar Torah means "word of Torah" and it is an important component of Jewish communal life. Bringing our own interpretations and insights to Jewish texts and traditions is an excellent way to exercise leadership at camp, and you can do it even if you don't see yourself as a "Torah teacher". Whether you are expounding on the week's Torah portion or unpacking an important camp value, giving a Dvar Torah can be a fun and engaging part of your leadership skills set. No text experience required!
